The Gordon Brothers

Ivan and Silas Gordon were raised on a small farm in central Maine. At an early age they started working together; feeding the animals, collecting sap for Maple sugaring, helping cut wood for heat and to sell, working in the garden, and helping maintain the house and barn. Early on they came to value working hard and taking great care and pride in their work.

The same values they gathered early on drive them today. They are committed to operating a business based on integrity. As far as Ivan and Silas are concerned there is no other way.

Silas Gordon

Silas Gordon began building during summers in high school. He apprenticed as a carpenter in earnest when he moved to Boulder Colorado in 1997. There he gained experience working for three different building companies. This work experience was invaluable in developing his skill and vision in building and business. During the three years he spent in Colorado he also became an avid fly fisherman and rock climber.

Today Silas can be seen fishing the coastal waters throughout the summer months on his boat the Biminy Twist. He also enjoys traveling to great fishing spots in the US and Central America. More than a great fisherman, Silas is an active member of the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) which is fighting to protect our coastal natural resources. Whether at work or play Silas takes great pride in what he does, and that care and commitment reveals itself in his work, and his personal life.

Ivan Gordon

Ivan Gordon first gained building experience doing repair work and painting in high school. While attending the University of New Hampshire, he worked for himself during the summer months, took classes on woodworking, and worked part time as a carpenters' apprentice during the school year. Ivan earned a B.S. in Environmental Science from UNH in 1999.

Ivan is an outdoor enthusiast. After college he completed a semester long Outward Bound experience that involved kayaking off the Baja Peninsula among other adventures. Today Ivan is an active rock climber, hiker and surfer. He travels throughout the US on outdoor adventures whenever he can.

Ivan enjoys working as a carpenter/contractor because it keeps him active and outdoors. He likes the constant challenge of his job and the satisfaction of seeing a project through from start to finish.

Cody

Cody is the Ivango company mascott. He is a six month old English style yellow lab. He is very well mannered and friendly and loves other dogs. He likes to hunt and fish and chase balls, and especially likes to eat. He will be sure to lick your hand if you're not careful.
