Testimonials

Ivan and Silas completed an extensive renovation of a large boathouse for me a few years ago. Over the course of 8 months they transformed a structurally unsound mess into a beautiful building. They worked with me to help develop my plans for the renovation, gave me plenty of insights and creative, ideas and worked diligently to complete it in time and on budget.

I have worked with many builders in the past for both new homes and renovation projects and these guys were a cut above what I have encountered in the past. Their attention to and outright appreciation for detailed carpentry is what sets them apart. In a way they are throw-backs to another era....craftsmen that love their work and spend the extra time to get it right. I am talking about little things.... like finding the right types of nails to complement an antique pine floor despite the fact that those nails were difficult to work with. I never would have thought of using those nails but I love the way they look today. They constantly went out of their way to find materials and finishes that were true to the design and look that I was trying to achieve.

All of this was done with an appreciation for schedule and my budget. There were no delays, no diversions to other jobs (they worked to completion) and no cost surprises.

Above all, they are nice guys. My family was sad to see them go after the job was done. We enjoyed having them around.

This letter is to serve as witness of our great respect and gratitude for the wonderful work and service we received from I-Van-Go Contracting. I-Van-Go was hired in Aug. 2003 to tear down our 1950's Cape style 2 bedroom/ 1 bath and rebuild into a Contemporary-Colonial 3 bedroom/ 2 ½ bath. After beginning the first of September, I-Van-Go worked five and sometimes six days a week to complete our home as quickly and professionally as they could. The attention to detail was unparalleled, the communication throughout our selections process was seamless and the worksite was kept extremely clean and organized. The work was completed mid Dec. 2003, just 3 ½ months after they removed the first shingle.

We hereby stand behind I-Van-Go, Silas, Ivan and all of their sub-contractors 100%. We could not imagine a better well-built home. We would be more than happy to speak with anyone looking for some testimony in regards to I-Van-Go Contracting and/or their work. Our phone number is 207-438-9443 and our email is Jeremy.gori@nemoves.com.

Sincerely,

We hired Silas and Ivan to paint our house, and once we had worked with them, we were so impressed with their professionalism and the quality of their work that we didn’t want to hire anyone else for our house projects. Since then, the Gordon brothers have replaced our roof, rebuilt one wall of our dining room (including the installation of French doors), added a new window to our bedroom, and replaced our old deck with a gorgeous mahogany one. They pay great attention to details, from their first estimates, to selection of their crews for larger jobs, to tackling whatever complications crop up along the way. We constantly recommend I-Van-Go to our neighbors and family, and we look forward to working with them on our future projects.
